These mirror trays by modernist legend Jacques Adnet usually only reach the market by auction. I'm very happy to be able to offer this as a direct sale exclusively through ChateauAntiques.com.
As you'll see from one of the images, much smaller versions of this tray have been fetching huge amounts at auction, but I can find no records of one this size ever coming up for public sale.
What would you do with it, wall hang it as a mirror or use it as a table? The bronze and glass make it really quite heavy, but the bronze handles are sturdy.
I've not restored this, the chrome is worn and the bronze is showing in places which I think is a nice authentic condition for it to be in. The mirror is also chipped...I'm tempted to replace this and would happily do so if you wish.
I've never seen another one of this size for sale - I'd love to hear if you ever have?
