St Clement Duck Water Pitcher, Barbotine, 1920s France

  • Wonderful example of this French antique classic - barbotine or majolica, duck water pitcher from the St Clement Faience factory near Luneville, France.
  • Signed with the St Clement mark from the 1920s, this pitcher (sometimes known as an absinthe pitcher) is in great condition. A very slight nibble to the underside of the base, which you'll only see when the jug is viewed from the underside.
  • Recently I have seen these being used as vases, an interesting decoration idea.
