This is one of the original versions of this Le Jan classic French Art Deco fish. Made by the Saint-Amand-les-Eaux factory and offered for sale by the ManuFrance company in the 1920s - 1930s, many subsequent versions and colours have sold over the years.
With a very strong LeJan signature, and something you will never see on later editions, this is a very rare cyan craquelle glaze. The marks you'll see seem to be within the glaze, like scars, rather than chips (although...fish and chips sounds good!).
It should be also noted that this is the larger version (as I believe all the original ones offered for sale were), at around 12” (30 cms) tall.
In great condition, and in the rarest of French Art Deco craquelle ceramics colours.
