You'll see immediately how the French Art Deco mantle clock shares its style with pieces by ODYV in its general Art Deco style, subject and colours.
In the 1920s the SARREGUEMINES brand, which had been manufacturing French faience sculptures, vases and clocks since 1790, became the catchily-named 'Sarreguemines-Digoin-Vitry-le-François'. This lasted until the 2nd World War, when it became under the control of Villeroy-Boch.
This baby-blue works very well with the silvered highlights here, and the Art Deco favourite subject of deer is carried out particularly well, with large ears that are (unusually) intact after all this time.
I think this would work equally well in a bedroom or salon: where could you find a place for it?
The clock mechanism does seem to be responding as it should—winding and keeping time—but as with all our clocks for sale, I cannot guarantee the clock's ongoing timekeeping.
I can find no problems with this piece to mention; it is in very good condition other than the silvering being aged, as always.
