Legras French Art Deco vases. Hand painted, signed, PAIR.

ChateauAntiques

    • Having sprung to success and fame in the earlier Art Nouveau era, Auguste Legras continued to make glassware up until 1930.

This very rare pair of glass Art Deco vases clearly date towards the end of this work, with their hand-painted, stylised sunflower design on frosted, coloured pate de verre.

In very good condition with just enough difference between the two to remind you that they were hand-painted, and both signed with the 'Leg' signature Legras used while trying to move away from his former Art Nouveau work.

One of the vases has a sweet little bubble from the manufacturing—it looks like a line in the frosting.
